Rafting
The modern history of Rafting starts in 1842. He was Lieutenant John Fremont of the US Army existorise the first explorations of the River Platte. The raft used rather designed by Horace H. Day. The Day of boats constructed from four independent pipes, rubber and fabric hugging the floor. The boats were originally the simplest form of human transport in water and was made from boards, logs, or reeds that were glued together. Soon, inflatable boats developed as lifeboats which were later used by the army to attack the shore.
Horse Riding
The riding as a sport, known since antiquity. The use of the horse as a means of transport, as an assistant in agricultural work or in war, goes back centuries. The use, however, the horse at sporting events for the first time in ancient Greece, where since 680 BC chariot races and from 648 BC racing were two of the ten events of the Olympic Games. With the revival of the Olympic Games, at the end of the last century, the horse has regained its former glory.
Canyoning
Canyoning includes mountaineering, climbing, caving, as well as swimming. The location of the city of Ioannina helps you choose between two areas, Zagorochoria and Tzoumerka, so that you can enjoy the beauty of nature in perhaps the most adventurous way.
Trekking
Top of path walking down the bridge of EXCELLENT (Voidomatis). The route crossing is near the cleanest river in Europe! The entire route is located in the heart of the National Park Vikos-Aoos, halfway there is the monastery of and ends saints Anargiri at the old bridge locked. The route runs from 1: 30-2: 00 hours and characterized easy and accessible for everyone! Location Zagoria.
Parapente
The paragliding (known as gliding from the French name Parapente) is the newest and simplest atomic gliding. It is the flight using a special parachute and take off from a slope in height, by exploiting the updraft of wind in front of the slope. Flights to Parapente in Epirus out of the villages Aspraggeloi in Zagoria and village Perivlepto near Ioannina, comes to flights where the duration is about 30 minutes, about double paragliding always accompanied by experienced ekpefdefti.
Jeep excursion
A unique adrenaline-pumping experience on dirt roads and tracks. We follow routes used only by brown bears and lumberjacks, sampling wild berries, according to season, and wonderful views of unspoiled nature, dipping in pristine ponds when temperatures allow it. Land Rover Defender or Jeep Cherokee jeeps used.
